May 2006 Newsletter
Happy
Spring to you all! Things are blooming
here for sure, so much that we missed
last month's newsletter. Taxes are finally
done, and for the first time in 4 years,
we actually made a profit! Our little
company is growing by leaps and bounds,
and we are so happy to have our loyal
supporters--YOU!
Once again we wanted to say a huge thanks
to everyone who has helped us spread the
word about Amazing Dreams and our services.
Because of your incredible support in
sending emails with our website link and
talking about our site in the chat rooms,
we received over 3,158,177 hits from 110,015
people visiting the site last month--tripling
the amount from April of last year.
We now have over 800 beautiful Ecards
from 22 amazing artists. Our Support
for Lesbians Coming Out Group
has over 460 members, and our Lesbian/Bi
Women Networking Groups
are also really doing great with almost
1700 members.
We are providing over 1,000 free services
for lesbian and bisexual women, and many
email us about our website. Here are some

for women, from our website. If you'd

for our sisters who may live in rural
areas where being lesbian can be a life
threatening situation, and those in foreign
countries, where being lesbian or bisexual
can be a death sentence. We just wanted

bio reads like a historical novel -- passionate
gay love story against a vast canvas of
war and peace. It comes complete
with an upstart family dynasty, a great
estate in the English countryside –
even a ghost. But it really happened.

WEDDING UPDATES AT AMAZING DREAMS PUBLISHING
On March 1, 2006 at a Maryland
Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee hearing
on the proposed Constitutional Amendment
to prohibit gay marriage,
Jamie
Raskin, professor of constitutional law
at American University, was requested to
testify. He did so.
At
the end of his testimony, a right-wing senator
said: "Mr. Raskin, my Bible says marriage
is only between a man & a woman. What
do you have to say about that?"
Raskin:
"Senator, when you took your oath of
office, you placed your hand on the Bible
and swore to uphold the Constitution. You
did not place your hand on the Constitution
and swear to uphold the Bible."
The room erupted into applause . . .
