December 2007 Forecast

I don't know about all of you but I won't soon forget the "joys" of this last Mercury retrograde that ended on Nov 1, however it almost seems like that promised ease that we do expect after all things stop going backwards just never came.

Instead, since Nov. 15 and lasting until Jan. 30, Mars will be going retrograde. So what does THAT mean to us earthlings? In short the element of ACTION is held back, its harder to get things going [including vehicles, machinery] and over all it feels like a lot of resistance to being able to do and get what you want....fun huh!

That being said, some of you may find yourselves feeling an undercurrent of restlessness grumpiness, depression or even anger. Because Mars will be in Cancer during this time, our emotions could show the strain of these energies. Another way to view this phenomena which only occurs every 2 years, and a more constructive one at that is to use this as a time to focus inward.

As winter is approaching, we can tend to tread a more inner path anyway. In Ancient cultures, such times were understood as part of the process, part of the year but in our modern Western Culture where everything is about moving forward and getting ahead, we find these "inner times" as most inconvenient and often frustrating. This is how Astrology can work for you. When you come to understand the timing of the high and lo tides of these energy patterns, you can use that knowledge to be more able to go with the flow than pushing the river.

On the political front we could see even more saber rattling as Mars, which is after all the God of War, doesn't like to feel restrained nor do the arrogant and power hungry. The answer of course is not to push harder but to find a more effective means.

Jupiter will get up close and personal with Pluto on DEC 11 which could spark some inner and outer intensity so notice where that source emanates and see how much you can let go.

I like feeling restrained like I like ants at a picnic. Basically I am an immediate gratification kinda sign and getting what you want when you want it is a most irresistible pleasure. This of course never happens enough for my taste and to think this vibe of restraint will be of global proportion yikes!
