January 2009 Forecast

What an absolutely incredible finish to 2008! Now we move forward to the wild ride of 2009. We feel freer to embrace a new day wholeheartedly even with a horrendous economic picture looming over us.

Pluto is the transformer and as it finally lands squarely in the earthy sign of Capricorn, it is precisely our economics and way of doing business and politriks that will surely get a major overhaul over the next 16 years. Saturn ruled Capricorn tells us that we must play by the rules and that means all of us.

Not just the rules of commerce but really nothing less than the laws of karma, cause and effect. As Marley said, "You can fool some people sometimes but you can't fool all the people all of the time. Now you see the light. Stand up for your rights." And we are seeing the light and the rats are being shown for who they are deserting their sinking stinking ships of state branded as the thieves and scoundrels that they are. Now we see the light.....in the eyes of young people and the disenfranchised who are ready for that new day because We All Can Have a Dream and in fact must embrace one that can literally be manifest here on earth as Capricorn demands that we walk our talk and not only take it to the streets but take it to the CEO's, the mainstream and the board room and the Heartland making it a Land of Heart.

The Full Moon on the 10th should have some real zip and when Inauguration Day rolls around we should feel a wave of optimism with Jupiter conjoining the Sun. The Uranus Saturn Opposition that was hitting us hard on Election day will also play out with the powers that be vs. the powers of change. With Venus and Uranus dancing around each other, the role of women in this change should be quite profound and well represented. too. However if Barak does not remove the homophobic preacher from his roster, we may well see some protest by gays who put him in office. All in all it should be an event with a lot of glitz yet very much by and for the People. The whole world is watching and we will give them a good show. Bush on the other hand will get a really good shoe and of course, the boot.

I see a New Year full of great promise and frought with great challenges that will begin to alleviate in February and continue in that direction as spring and the new regime unfolds. It took us at least 8 years for the powers that be to create this mess and it will take some time to undo but at least we will have some of the tools and eneregies in place to begin the healing.
